We will observe World Polio Day by having a combined club social and fundraiser for PolioPlus in the form of a “World’s Greatest Meal” event. The premise of the World’s Greatest Meal is that participants are not charged for the meal but are encouraged to donate an amount equivalent to what they would pay in a restaurant.
Our WGM will be held at Fairhope Brewery from 6 to 8:30 on October 24. There will be heavy hors d’oeuvres provided by Andree’s at Piggly Wiggly, musical entertainment arranged by Mike Zoghby, and tickets for free beer or wine. Proceeds (donations) will go to PolioPlus; provided you write a check (made out to “Rotary Club of Fairhope”) or otherwise identify your donation, it will be credited to you personally and will count for Paul Harris Fellow points.
