Online Makeup Opportunities
We hope you’ll take the opportunity to make up at one of the eleven other clubs in Mobile and Baldwin Counties, but if that is not possible, we do accept online makeups. Although our members are most familiar with Rotary eClub One (Rotary E-Club of District 5450), there are a number of other online clubs that offer makeup credit.
Remember that the same rules apply to online makeups as to physical ones: the makeup must be within 14 calendar days before or after the missed meeting of our club.
A Rotary fellowship has been created for those interested in eclubs. The fellowship site once had a page reserved for a directory of eclubs, but it apparently was never created. (You can search for eclubs using Rotary’s Club Finder.) Meanwhile, here is a list of a few chartered Rotary e-clubs. Clicking on the name of the club will direct you to its site. Except as otherwise noted, Web sites are in English. Look for a link or button for “Makeup.”
Note that each site operates differently: some will send a makeup receipt directly to you and/or the club secretary (email@example.com); in other cases, you will need to print out the page that shows that you did a makeup. Most sites request a donation, but this is not mandatory; if you choose to donate, you might give the amount you would pay for a meal at a physical club ($10 for our club, much more for some others).

When you travel, you can make up at any Rotary club worldwide; to find a club where you are going, use Rotary’s Club Finder. Makeups are not limited to Rotary club meetings, however. Our members can also make up by attending an Interact or Rotaract meeting, a Supper Club or Book Club meeting, a meeting of the board of directors or a club committee (such as the Steak Cookoff planning committee), or another club’s fundraiser or by participating in one of our club’s service projects, such as distributing dictionaries to third-graders. Our club bulletin and calendar list numerous activities that “count as a makeup!”
Also, see our Schedule of Touch Points for another way to get credit for your Rotary activity.
