Make Ups

Online Make Up Opportunities

We hope you’ll take the opportunity to make up at one of the thirteen other clubs in Mobile and Baldwin Counties, but if that isn’t possible, you can do it online. Although our members are probably most familiar with Rotary eClub One (Rotary E-Club of District 5450), there are a number of other online clubs that offer make up credit.

Remember that the same rules apply to online make ups as to physical ones: the make up must be within 14 calendar days before or after missing our club’s meeting.

A Rotary fellowship has been created for those interested in e-clubs. You can search for those e-clubs using Rotary’s Club Finder. Below, however, is a list of a few chartered Rotary e-clubs. Clicking on the name of the club and then look for a link or button for “Make Up.”

Note that each site operates differently. Some will send a make up receipt directly to you and/or the club secretary; in other cases, you will need to print out the page that shows that you did a make up. Most sites request a donation, but this is not mandatory. If you choose to donate, you might give the amount you would pay for a meal at a physical club ($10 for our club, a different amount at some others).

When you travel, you can make up at any Rotary club worldwide; to find a club where you are going, use Rotary’s Club Finder. Make ups are not limited to Rotary club meetings. Members can also make up by attending an Interact or Rotaract meeting, a Supper Club or Book Club meeting, a meeting of the board of directors or a club committee (such as the Steak Cook-off planning committee), another club’s fundraiser, or by participating in one of our club’s service projects such as disaster response. Our club bulletin and calendar list numerous activities that count as a make up!

Another way to make up is to view the recording of one of our club meetings that you missed. Recording links are posted on the Meeting Recordings page. View the recording and report your makeup to the executive secretary.
