DESCRIPTION:In observance of World Polio Day (October 24)\, Fairhope Rotary will hold a fundraiser for the PolioPlus fund of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. Ronan McSharry\, owner of McSharry’s Irish Pub\, has offered his establishment for this event. All Rotarians (as well as the general public) are welcome and will be invited to donate. \nThe premise of the “World’s Greatest Meal” concept is that participants donate the amount they would expect to pay for the meal in a restaurant. For this event\, three chefs will be preparing shrimp and grits\, and diners will be encouraged to vote for their favorite recipe with cash. \nRonan McSharry has arranged for entertainment and will be tending a cash bar. So come and bring plenty of cash!

DESCRIPTION:We will observe World Polio Day by having a combined club social and fundraiser for PolioPlus in the form of a “World’s Greatest Meal” event. The premise of the World’s Greatest Meal is that participants are not charged for the meal but are encouraged to donate an amount equivalent to what they would pay in a restaurant.\n\nOur WGM will be held at Fairhope Brewery from 6 to 8:30 on October 24. There will be heavy hors d’oeuvres provided by Andree’s at Piggly Wiggly\, musical entertainment arranged by Mike Zoghby\, and tickets for free beer or wine. Proceeds (donations) will go to PolioPlus; provided you write a check (made out to “Rotary Club of Fairhope”) or otherwise identify your donation\, it will be credited to you personally and will count for Paul Harris Fellow points.

SUMMARY:PCRC Sporting Clay Fall Classic 2022
DESCRIPTION:Every October\, the Point Clear Rotary Club holds the annual “A Sporting Clay Fall Classic” fundraiser.  The 13th Annual Sporting Clay Fall Classic will occur on October 21\, 2022\, at Bushy Creek Clays in Perdido\, Alabama 36562. This annual event raises funds for a variety of community projects\, including the Fairhope–Point Clear Rotary Youth Club and four-year college scholarships. \nSponsorship packages range from $250 (station sign) to $3\,500 (title sponsor) and include a variety of benefits and recognition. For details\, see the brochure here. All sponsorships must be received by October 1. All packages include lunch. Raffle tickets are also available (included in some packages). \nThe format calls for teams of four to shoot at 100 targets spanning 14 stations. Each shooter will shoot 6–8 targets per station. Each team will score itself as well as operate the trap. After all teams have finished\, scores will be tallied and the teams with the most hits win. \nAwards will be announced for Top Shooter and 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place teams. A team must have four shooters to be eligible for award recognition. \nShells are not included and must be brought by the shooter (at least 110). Ear and eye protection must be worn\, and participants are requested to bring golf carts or side-by-sides unless included in sponsorship. Golf carts will be available to rent. No straddle-seating vehicles such as ATVs!
