We will observe World Polio Day with a combination club social and World’s Greatest Meal event. The menu will include Rickie Richey’s world-famous shrimp and grits, along with brisket-stuffed buns, smoked chicken breasts, and baked beans with Conecuh sausage and Vidalia onions. Add a “salad extravaganza” (per Becky) and homemade cookies, plus a full open bar, and you have quite a lavish spread.
Attendees (Rotarians and guests) will be invited to make a donation to PolioPlus. Donations in any amount are welcome, but the suggested donation is the amount you would pay for a comparable meal in a restaurant. Celeste Herbert, Major Gifts Officer at The Rotary Foundation, will be in attendance.
Sunset is at 6:10, and you are invited to come at 6 (or even earlier) and enjoy the sunset and a libation; dinner will be served at 7. There will be easy parking next door (look for signage and a parking attendant). Dress is casual.
